Privacy and consent
Families choose what you see — practice history and recordings are separate choices — and can change them or disconnect at any time. Recordings are shared only when a family turns that on.
You can disagree with the AI
When you review a recording, your judgement is what the family sees. The automatic result is kept for your reference and never overwrites yours.

Is it free?
Yes. A SpeechStep Pro account costs nothing. Families choose whether to pay for their own Premium plan; you never pay anything.
Do I have to recommend it?
No. Your clinical judgement stays yours. You are free to recommend whatever suits your client, including not using SpeechStep. You can be connected to a family who found SpeechStep themselves, and you never have to join the partner programme.
What can I see?
Only what the family chooses to share. Practice history (days, words, results) is shared by default when they connect with you; recordings only if they turn recording sharing on. They can change either at any time, or disconnect.
Who owns the relationship?
You do — the clinical relationship stays between you and the family. SpeechStep has no SLP directory and does not match families with outside clinicians. If you don’t have an SLP, you can ask our team to look at your child’s practice.
Which countries?
Any qualified speech-language professional can create a free SpeechStep Pro account, wherever they practise. Partner payouts are made through Wise, so they depend on Wise supporting your country; practice content is in English today.
How do payouts work?
Only if you opt in as a partner. You earn 25% of the subscription revenue from families you refer, for as long as they stay subscribed. A payment becomes eligible 30 days after it is charged, and payouts go out monthly through Wise once your balance reaches $25. The full terms are on the partner page.
