Ways to work with SpeechStep
Start as a connected SLP for free. Opt in to the referral partnership if you want to. Or do paid clinical contribution work for SpeechStep. Each is separate, and none depends on another.

Your clinical relationship comes first
Your clinical judgement stays yours. You are free to recommend whatever suits your client, including not using SpeechStep.
Your clinical relationship with a family exists independently of any commercial relationship with SpeechStep.

Connected SLP

The terms, in plain words
Draft — subject to the Partner Terms, which are being finalised.
- You receive 25% of eligible subscription revenue from families attributed to you under the Partner Terms, for as long as they stay subscribed. A lifetime purchase earns a one-time 12.5%.
- Commission is calculated on the price the family actually paid, excluding tax.
- A payment becomes eligible 30 days after it is charged.
- The minimum payout is $25.
- Payouts are made monthly, through Wise.
- If a payment is refunded, the commission on it is reversed.
- The clinical relationship comes first: a family you invite, or who connects you as their SLP, is attributed to you. A partner link or code from another SLP never takes a family already connected to you.
- Attribution is fixed at the family’s first paid subscription and is never transferred if they later connect another SLP.
- Families who found and subscribed to SpeechStep on their own earn no referral commission.
- You cannot refer yourself.
Disclosure to families
Families are told before subscribing when an SLP who invited them may receive a referral payment — on the invite, the QR code landing, the partner link and the code entry alike.
The Partner Terms define exactly what counts as eligible revenue, including discounts and promotions, refunds and chargebacks, taxes, payment fees, plan changes, lifetime purchases and currency conversion.
